The Norwalk Historical Society and the Norwalk Historical Commission are pleased to announce the start of phase I of the City of Norwalk’s master plan for improvements at Mill Hill Historic Park.  The project will start the week of August 18, 2014.

The work on the upper site of Mill Hill Historic Park, improves compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility guidelines.  There will be new accessible entrances to the three buildings, the Town House (1835), the “Little Red Schoolhouse (1826)”, and the Governor Fitch Law office (1740).  The work will include new pavement, walkways, ramps, landings, walls, fencing, and handrails. The project was designed by Gill and Gill Architects located in Norwalk and Joseph Koelbel, Landscape Architect of Brooklyn, NY.
