  • Learn about African-American folk artist, Harriet Powers’ (1837-1910) storytelling quilts.  She was one of the best-known southern African American quilt makers during the Civil War era.
  • Learn how quilts are made and see a variety of quilts handmade by local children
  • Create your own paper story quilt
