Volunteers contribute actively to our organization and assist in all phases of operation. Help when you can or participate on an ongoing basis.
- Assist at exhibition openings
- Greet Visitors
- Sell gift shop items
- Distribute flyers
- Help with hospitality and refreshments
- Prepare baked goods from historic recipes
- Assist with archives and collection
- Serve as event host and coordinator
- Assist with Fundraising
- Assist with publicity/public relations/marketing
- Help maintain our historic grounds
- Assist with mailings for fundraisers, meetings and special events
- Post events and programs on monthly online calendars
Junior Volunteers and Internships
We offer spring internships for graduating seniors and offer internships for college students throughout the year. Responsibilities vary but may entail providing administrative support, doing research, assisting with archives and exhibition projects, and supporting marketing and communications efforts.

Museum Educators Needed
We have openings for museum educators to lead tours for elementary-school-aged (3rd grade) children at Mill Hill Historic Park for the Little Red Schoolhouse Program. Tours are weekdays, 10:00am-Noon and Noon-2:00pm. The school program season is late April – mid-June. Training provided.

Tour Guide
Conduct tours of Mill Hill Historic park for visitors, Saurdays and Sundays, Noon-4:00pm during our open season, May-September. We welcome both adults and high school students in this position. Training is provided.
