A Virtual Visit with Elsie Hill

The Norwalk Historical Society will hold its first virtual lecture, “A Visit with Elsie Hill”, with guest presenter, Dr. Darla Shaw – professor emeritus of education and women’s studies at WCSU.

Dr. Shaw will lead a lively discussion on Elsie’s early days in Norwalk, her tireless struggle for women’s suffrage as well as her efforts in shaping the Equal Rights Amendment with friend and colleague, Alice Paul. Historical photographs of Elsie Hill will help illustrate her remarkable story. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Once registered, a GoToMeeting link will be emailed to you the day before the event. The event is open to the first 145 registrants.
