- Norwalk Collection The former Norwalk Museum's collection (objects) is managed by the Norwalk Historical Society. The collection was moved from the former City Hall building in South Norwalk to the former Lockwood House (141 East Avenue) on the Norwalk City Hall (125 East Avenue) campus. The new museum opened December 5, 2015 and renamed the Norwalk Historical Society Museum. The Norwalk Historical Society also manages Mill Hill Historic Park, located at 2 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT. - Ellis Island From 1892 to 1924, more than 22 million immigrants, passengers, and crew members came through Ellis Island and the Port of New York.
